This project is a brand extension for Bombas centered on the idea of comfort as a shared experience. 
THE PROBLEM
Bombas’ brand promise centers on comfort with purpose: every purchase provides comfort to both the customer and someone in need. The challenge was to translate this mission into a digital campaign that communicates comfort emotionally and visually using illustrations, while remaining adaptable for selective print use.
RESEARCH
This campaign is built around the idea of a continuous thread. Symbolizing the connection between the customer’s comfort and the comfort Bombas provides to someone in need. To align with this, the campaign prioritized visual metaphor over literal representation, allowing the concept to communicate Bombas’ mission quickly in digital environments where attention spans are short.
Design decisions emphasize simplicity, scalability, and clarity across screen-based formats. Illustration was chosen over photography to create a distinct, ownable visual system that could scale across web, app, and print while maintaining consistency. The thread metaphor aligns directly with Bombas’ product category and social mission, making the concept intuitive and emotionally resonant. By visualizing products as being formed from a single, continuous thread, the campaign reinforces the idea that every purchase is part of a larger system of care, rather than a standalone transaction.
THE SYSTEM
Color palette inspired by Bombas’ brand colors supporting feelings of comfort and softness. Utilizing clean, modern sans-serif typography to reflect Bombas’ clarity and approachability that allows the illustrations to remain the focal point. The layouts are simple compositions optimized for digital screens, allowing the product illustration to dominate.
The Visual hierarchy prioritizes product first , and message second. Typography supports the illustrations without competing for attention. The product illustrations are formed from a single continuous thread. The thread acts as both texture and a narrative device tying the product, message, and mission together into a cohesive system.
THE RESULT
The final campaign delivered a cohesive digital system consisting of a website hero image, a full-screen app advertisement, and an illustrated poster. The consistent use of the continuous-thread illustration successfully unified all deliverables, reinforcing Bombas’ mission while remaining flexible across formats. The campaign demonstrates how a simple visual idea can communicate brand values clearly, emotionally, and effectively in digital spaces.
